Gray

Gray is my favorite color,

So unbelievably pristine,

So much emotion behind its blank facade,

A limbo between white and black,

Between love and pain,

Between joy and sadness.

Gray is balance.

The color so often seen as plain or boring,

That some people call the color without life,

Without a soul,

But those people don't see the vibrancy behind the blankness.

Gray has always been there.

In the clouds of a thunderstorm,

In the deathly cold of a blizzard,

In the wisps of lonely wind at night,

In our tears through sadness.

Since the very beginning,

Gray has always been,

And always will be,

The perfect color in my heart.
